Applicant Organization: Ancient Song Doula Services
Ancient Song Doula Services’ Midwifery Assistant Program (MAP) strives to increase the number of midwives of color to ultimately increase positive birth outcomes and resilience in our communities. The project proposes itself as a catalyst to increase our own direct influence, autonomy, and vitality first and foremost for our women, families, and children of color. The objectives of the MAP is to bridge the gap between midwives of color and their counterparts to rebuild, restore, and rejoice in birth work and reproductive justice towards collective community-based care and services.
