On April 8, 2020, the Big Push for Midwives Campaign launched the Where’s My Midwife? community mapping tool to help connect midwives trained in out-of-hospital birth with people whose babies may need to be born in out-of-hospital settings during the COVID-19 pandemic. In recent months, news reports show the demand for home birth has increased dramatically. To date, more than 330 crowdsourced reports of midwives who wish to be of service to pregnant people have been submitted and published.
