Midwives are essential during the COVID-19 pandemic

In this time of global pandemic and financial crisis, the need is greater than ever and our mission is as relevant as ever. We ask our FAM community to give if you can.

Double your impact! Donations will be matched by a generous donor for the first $2,500 raised.

From day 1 of the COVID-19 pandemic, midwives have been there for families, accommodating an influx of new home birth clients, caring for families in hospitals, and adapting models of care to encompass telehealth, new collaborations, and auxiliary maternity units. At FAM, we have always invested in midwifery. We recognize the need for a thriving and diverse midwifery workforce, equitable access to care, and high-quality research. Now, as much as ever, we must continue to move midwifery forward in North America, building racial equity into every aspect of our work.
